What to Expect

The hiring process at Cleveland-Cliffs varies for hourly and salaried positions, though we strive to provide an efficient and transparent process to all applicants. Learn more about what you can expect after you apply.

Step 2

Phone Interview

Qualified applicants may be contacted for a phone interview.

Step 3

Assessment Test

After phone interview, applicants will be invited to complete an assessment test, which varies by role, location, and subsidiary. Tests may be online or in-person.

Step 4

Onsite Interview

If the applicant passes the assessment test, they will have a more in-depth interview. This is a mutual exchange of information, so come prepared with questions.

Step 5

Offer of Employment

The final step is a formal offer of employment. If the applicant accepts, a background check and an onsite physical exam (including urinalysis and hair follicle drug test) will follow. Depending on location, a reference check may be completed as well.
