Job Description
As a Financial Analyst in the West Chester Regional Steelmaking Financial Planning department, you will be responsible for gathering, preparing, analyzing, and reporting financial monthly results, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets of the Company in a dynamic environment. The Financial Analyst must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, maintain a working relationship with corporate departments and site personnel and develop proficiency in Excel and Oracle while obtaining/increasing a working knowledge of Cleveland Cliff’s Steelmaking operations.
Summary of Responsibilities:

Generate product line (detailed income statement)

Facilitate SG&A review for Steelmaking sites

Generate inventory summaries for Steelmaking sites

Generate/assist in variance analysis
-
Assist in operational cost reviews with the plan Cost Managers

Prepare quarterly lower of cost or market analysis
-
Assist in quarterly public reporting and external audit requirements

Assist/prepare in Balance Sheet analysis

All the above are completed for monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgets

Generate detailed scrap reporting monthly

Generate and assist in creating SG&A annual budgets for a portion of the Steelmaking sites

Ad Hoc projects as requested
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
-
1 – 4 years of accounting experience

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Oracle experience is a plus

Professional Certification (Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent) is a plus

Proven record of strong initiative, leadership, accountability, and effective communication skills
