Job Description
The Human Resources Representative will work closely with the Human Resources team on a variety of HR processes. Summary of Responsibilities
- Maintains relationships and daily contact with local managers to ensure staffing goals are achieved.
- Manages recruiting processes in HR system, creates and maintains HR databases and files.
- Schedules interviews with hiring managers and follow up on candidate status.
- Coordinates recruiting including advertisement, interviewing, candidate management, and background checks.
- Serves as a liaison with employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations.
- Responsible for employee onboarding, orientation, and training coordination.
- Coordinates internship program, represents the company at area career fairs and hiring events.
- Conducts exit interviews on terminating employees.
- Communicates and answers questions of current knowledge of the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Collaborates in the development of processes for continuous improvement and training programs.
- Managing employee compensation, ensuring accurate and timely payment, and maintaining related records while adhering to relevant laws and company policies.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations regarding workers compensation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking System a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR generalist experience in the steel industry or a manufacturing industry
