Ferrous Processing and Trading, a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, has an immediate opportunity for a General Laborer at our Zalev Brothers operation in Windsor, Canada. The General Laborer will assist hot briquette plant operations.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Check and clean equipment and plant in a safe and responsible manner according to standards
  • Perform greasing of equipment according to the daily and weekly cleaning schedules and plant engineers
  • Notify Supervisor of any problems, issues or abnormalities during the shift
  • Operate plant machinery, including bobcat, lift truck, chain hoists, etc in a safe and responsible manner according to the machinery instruction manual and company procedures
  • Position requires “shift” work in a 24/7 operation
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Drivers License min. class “G” required
  • Able to understand work order instructions and perform work required
  • Able to be standing for the entirety of work time and lift 50 pound continually throughout shift
  • Able to work in hot/cold, dusty/dirty environments
