Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Buyer in our Windsor, Ontario Cold stamping Facility. The Senior Buyer is responsible for and manages purchasing, materials requirements, and supplier relations. The ideal candidate will have prior buying experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire Procurement Lifecycle for Direct parts and components from identifying need, sourcing, contract/deliverables to documentation and assessment.
  • Manage and optimize the sourcing activities for new Programs.
  • Lead Cost tracking and reduction projects for purchased parts.
  • Manage suppliers (Supplier Development) and support internal and external audits (ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949 Certification, Customer audits).
  • Manage and Optimize the Tooling and Capital procurement activities.
  • Handle special assignments and projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or Materials Management.
  • Minimum 3 years in a strategic purchasing role.
  • Ability to apply quantitative analytical skills for problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel, Visio, power BI, power automate etc.
  • 3+ years experience in strategic purchasing role for Steel and components in Automotive sector.
  • Working knowledge on cost reduction and process improvement tools like Kaizen, VA/VE, LSS or other statistical tools.
