Senior Section Manager Operations

Location: Tillsonburg, ON

Fleetwood Metal Industries, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for an Senior Section Manager Operations in our Tillsonburg, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Senior Section Manager Operations is responsible for supporting all departments across 2 locations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience reviewing part specifications and defects, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated experience managing multiple manufacturing departments simultaneously in multiple facilities or locations.

• Experience managing production operations across multiple facilities or locations.

• Expert knowledge of manufacturing scheduling and capacity planning.

• Working knowledge of stamping, welding, coating, and assembly manufacturing processes.

• Experience implementing and sustaining standardized operational systems.

• Advanced proficiency with CMS Epicor and production planning systems.

• Experience leading continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

• Increasing production, asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards

• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus

• Provides leadership to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipment

• Monitors WIP and percentage complete on all jobs

• Monitor operations and initiates corrective actions 

• Supports quality system administration and monitoring 

• Build relationships with employees while managing and developing the workforce

• Daily interaction with the shop floor to engage and increase employee morale 

• Supports other departments when needed 

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in a high-volume production environment

• Working knowledge of CMS and Funnel Cloud is required

•  Proven experience working in plant operations required 

• Good understanding of regulatory requirements for operating plants 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience managing operations across multiple manufacturing facilities or locations.
• Experience in the automotive, stamping, welding, coating, or assembly manufacturing environment.

The salary range for this role is $120,000 – $145,000.  An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location and business or organizational needs.
