Fleetwood Metal Industries, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Team Lead in our Tillsonburg, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Team Lead is responsible for support team members on the set up, changeover, and operation of equipment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cold stamping, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure issues are resolved accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment
  • Conduct Accident/Incident Investigations and complete reporting requirements within company timelines and document all employee issues in writing
  • Ability to conduct shift meetings and effectively communicate information to team members
  • Monitor team performance and ensure high levels of safety, quality and throughput
  • Conducts LPA audits daily to ensure safety standards are maintained
  • Identifies and implements efficiency improvements
  • Assist in the evaluation, mentoring and development of new and existing employees
  • Ensure production documentation is completed, accurate and submitted in a timely manner
  • Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement projects using lean management techniques (5S, Kaizen, Process Flow, 5 Why, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining workflow by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points
  • Reviews production plan and the assignment of employees, accomplishing work results by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising production and employee schedules
  • Provide recommendations for process improvement efficiencies and method improvement.
  • Assist employees with troubleshooting technical concerns
  • Assist in the evaluation, mentoring and development of new and existing employees.
  • Continually improve safety records by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.  Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.
  • Other duties as assigned by the management team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership role or related experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to Health and Safety requirements
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years working in a stamping environment

The pay for this role is $35.85 .
