Location: Bowling Green, KY
Cannon Automotive Solutions a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Stamping facility. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting the plants current production programs. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a stamping environment, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

Determines the process and methods required for new program parts (Process must meet and prove capability on Output, Quality, Manning Requirements on awarded RFQ)

Create PFEMA’s and Process Flowcharts

Create Process Books (includes Draft Op Instruction, Pkg Instruction, BOM Sheet), Plan For Every Part (PFEP) to confirm Direct Material usage, WIP, cost structure is within the quoted material cost.

Participates in cross functional APQP meetings, providing due dates for various tasks appliable to Corporate Manufacturing Engineering from start of program to launch.

Create conceptual layouts for facility (plant) and work cells

Liaison with Customers on Packaging Requirements

Perform cost analysis on packaging requirements.

Review capacity and floorspace requirements for all facilities on new model programs

Create / Update Production Routings in CMS (Appliable to facilities to have CMS System)

Support plants on current production programs where appliable

Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
-
University Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Design & Analysis is required

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical design in an automotive manufacturing environment

Solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes (metal forming, welding, e-coat)

Practical knowledge of GD&T with the capacity to communicate requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

5 – 7 years' experience in mechanical design in an automotive manufacturing environment
