Job Description
Cleveland-Cliffs, Coshocton Works, located in East Central Ohio, a stainless steel finishing operation and one of the nation’s leading producers of flat rolled stainless steel, has an immediate opening for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the current electrical systems in place as well as updating and upgrading systems in a 24 hour operation.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assist with programming enhancements on the plant’s electrical systems in a safe and efficient manner
- Assist in debugging the plant’s electrical systems. Work to determine the root cause of electrical failures and develop/implement solutions to stop the recurrence
- Plan electrical equipment outages and upgrades. Assist maintenance service providers and contractors during these plans
- Conduct training for technicians on current and future electrical systems installed at the plant
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical control systems
- Willing to work for a 24/7 operation
- Associate's degree in electrical technology or equivalent experience working with electrical systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 3 years of control systems and PLC’s experience
- PLC troubleshooting experience, especially with Siemens S7-1500, IBA Data Collection, Rockwell Contrologix, and GE Control Systems
