Job Description

Cleveland-Cliffs Butler Works has an immediate need for a Human Resources Representative. The Human Resources Representative will provide services and support in labor relations in addition to talent acquisition, employee relations, and policy training. 

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance to managers of bargaining unit employees in interpretation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Participate in the grievance administration process ensuring timely response and follow through.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation as needed.
  • Participate in full cycle recruitment process of exempt and non-exempt positions including sourcing, interviewing, selection and onboarding.
  • Participate and assist in driving employee engagement efforts.
  • Attend investigatory meetings when appropriate.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all applicable federal, state and local law and corporate policies including maintaining files, records and postings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Team player with ability to effectively deal with a wide variety of people.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Availability as needed to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Workday and/or Dayforce experience.
  • Experience working in a union environment.
