Job Description
Cleveland-Cliffs is looking for a summer Accounting Intern at our Headquarters in Cleveland, OH. The internship will offer an opportunity to get hands on experience and exposure to corporate accounting at a Fortune 500 company. Primarily working with the corporate financial reporting team, you will assist with the preparation of benefit plan statements, the drafting of the 10-Q, and various other corporate accounting tasks and projects.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting financial statements and related disclosures including footnotes and for inclusion in Company SEC Form 10-Q filing.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for multiple 401K and pension plans.
- Collaborate with the assessment of new GAAP and SEC guidelines.
- Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Participate in other ad hoc projects, as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in Accounting or Finance.
- Must have completed at least freshman year of study by the summer of 2025.
