Job Description
Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Human Resource Buisness Partner in our Cleveland, Tennessee Hot Stamping Facility. The Human Resource Business Partner is responsible for supporting the plant manager and shop floor. Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of organizational development strategies, including ongoing tracking and monitoring of key business / employee objectives
- Lead performance management activities, including succession planning, training and development, and behaviour modification.
- Location administration of the pension and benefit programs. Liaise with the payroll department and external consultants
- Coach and train the leadership team in all matters of employee relations; including counselling of matters related to employment and common law
- Conduct internal investigations related to matters of harassment and violations of the Employee Code of Conduct.
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding activities and partner with the department in need to implement recruitment needs.
- Engage in and foster professional development of all staff and provide opportunities for learning within budgeted resources
- Represent the Human Resources department in meetings as required
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors; investigate, report, debrief, and take or direct corrective action as appropriate on incidents
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from an accredited university
- Management/leadership training certification
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience within the Human Resources profession
- Experience in organizational development planning and Implementation
- Extensive experience in recruitment, training and development, and succession planning
- Strong knowledge of current employment law both statutory and common
- Advanced knowledge of training and development systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to use tact and discretion in dealing with customers, suppliers, and employees
- Demonstrated excellent computer skills with proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software, e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Demonstrated superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
