Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a DevOps Engineer at our West Chester, OH office. The DevOps role must combine software development and IT operations to create and manage a streamlined and efficient DevOps process for the organization.  This role also requires the ability to effectively communicate with team members, leadership and interact with business users to gather requirements, report work status, acquire understanding of support concerns, and learn business processes. 

Summary of Responsibilities: 

  • Deploy DevOps updates and fixes

  • Provide all levels of DevOps technical support

  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of issues and improve customer experience

  • Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems

  • Investigate and resolve technical issues

  • Develop and implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

  • Develop scripts to automate manual procedures

  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or relevant field

  • 8+ years Direct, hands-on experience with Microsoft/Linux based technology products

  • 3-5+ years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role

  • Proficient with GITHUB, GIT workflows, Jenkins, CI/CD Pipelines and Visual Studio

  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

  • Ability to build relationships with team members, peers, vendors, leaders, and key individuals

  • Problem-solving attitude

  • Collaborative team spirit

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of Bash, Python, and Groovy or similar scripting language

  • Working knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL
