Job Description
Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for Fixture Engineer in our Windsor, Ontario Facility. The Fixture Engineer is responsible for supporting the new model team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a stamping environment, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:
- Fixture Engineer (New Model) will help coordinate and follow-up on New Product Launches and ECN changes
- Quote, Source (with New Model Manager) and tracking of Check Fixtures
- Design and develop Check Fixtures with fixture shop for use in tooling and stamping operations, ensuring they meet product specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand product requirements and translate them into fixture designs.
- Work with New Model and production teams to implement fixture designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fixture performance, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain detailed records of fixture designs, modifications, and testing results.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, toolmakers, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration of fixtures into the manufacturing process.
Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fixture design, tooling, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or stamping environment.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly stamping operations.

Knowledge of materials, machining processes, and fabrication techniques.

Able to read and understand GD&T

Read and understand CMM Layouts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
