Job Description
Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. This position is responsible for gathering, preparing, and analyzing monthly results as well as quarterly forecasts and the annual budget. The Senior Analyst will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis. The position interacts and supports senior management, Corporate and Operational accounting, Treasury, and Commercial departments.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing the detailed monthly presentation on actual results, including:
- Analyzing detailed sales information by customers, markets, and products
- Consolidating sales and profits for all segments of the company
- Compiling cost information from all segments of the company
- Coordinate and analyze quarterly forecasts and the annual budget for the entire company
- Support the CFO and Senior Vice President in preparation of quarterly earnings calls
- Assist in reporting and analysis of SG&A costs and corporate budgets
- Prepare additional presentations for use by senior management
- Build financial models to analyze sales data including by customer and by market
- Lead projects to establish standardized practices among legacy companies
- Participate in responding to Ad Hoc requests from senior management
- Drive process improvement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field
- 3-5 years of previous related experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning skills
- Excellent communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft PowerPoint
