Job Description
Cleveland-Cliffs has immediate openings for Plant Repairperson Apprentices at our Tilden Mine operation located in Ishpeming, Michigan. Apprentices are required to commit to 4 years within the program including both classroom instruction as well as on-the-job training at both the Plant and the Mine.
Summary of Responsibilities:

Repair and maintain plant machinery

Inspect, troubleshoot, dismantle, assemble, replace defective parts, and adjust plant machinery

Use torch to cut and heat
-
Perform welding and air arc cutting
-
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Must be at least 18 years of age

Have the ability to read, understand and follow safety information, operating instructions and procedure manuals

Work safely and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Must be willing to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends and holidays

Must be willing to work overtime
